Salma Hayek, the popular Mexican American Celebrity actress, awarded the Medallion of Excellence during a ceremony at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute at the Washington Convention Center.

In 02 October 2013 Salma Hayek received the award Medallion of Excellence in the Annual awards ceremony of Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.

After the award ceremony the actress said that she dedicate this award those who will never be recognized, immigrant men and women who risk their lives to cross the border.

Salma Hayek the Medallion of Excellence also gave recognition to Hispanic women for their efforts and undocumented youth known as "dreamers" who said: ‘They fight every day for a chance to obtain American citizenship.’
